Bank Profile

The Cooperative Rural Bank of Cagayan Inc. now Cooperative Bank of Cagayan is one of the oldest and one of  the  most stable cooperative banks in the Philippines. It was organized on 22 March 1977 through the initiative of 105 Samahang Nayons and one Area Marketing Cooperative, the Kilusang Bayan sa Pangangalakal ng Cagayan at Kalinga-Apayao, Inc. After the issuance of its Certificate of Authority from Central Bank of the Philippines in 1979, now the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), the Cooperative Bank of Cagayan (CBC) formally opened its doors to the public in 01 September 1979.

The CBC has taken the lead role in rural financial intermediation between and among small farmers, micro-entrepreneurs, professionals and their organizations. It is notable, that the bank is catering to 28 municipalities and 1 city of Cagayan which comprises 820 barangays and has expanded its services to the Provinces of Kalinga and Apayao and widening its horizon to the Province of Isabela. Client reachout as of today stood at 14,000 and still counting. To date, the bank has three (3) operating branches strategically servicing the three (3) Districts of the province namely, Tuguegarao City in the 3rd District where the head and  corporate offices are located at the CBC Bldg. along Diversion Road, San Gabriel Village,   Tuguegarao City. Abulug Branch which is located at Barangay Calog Sur, Abulug, Cagayan catering the needs of the 2nd District of Cagayan and the nearby     municipalities of the Province of Apayao and Lallo Branch  located at the Public Market, Bagumbayan, Lallo, Cagayan which is serving the 1st District of the province.

As the Cooperative Bank of Cagayan sets forth to a new horizon of the Competitive Banking Industry, we envision to be “The Leading Financial Institution for Countryside Development in Northern Luzon through innovative Financial Products and Technologically-Superior services anchored on good governance”.
